In my personnel selection process, the seemingly perfect employee with top grades, top qualifications and conservative conventional subordination does not count, whose expressiveness may be classified as extremely doubtful.

Rather, the focus is on the individuality, the soft and social skills, the personal motivation and the performance as well as the perfect fit, the suitability of the applicant as part of the team composition. Thus, the perceived eligibility becomes an exclusion if the team’s integrity, effectiveness, efficiency, and overall performance are at risk. Needless to say, an intensive getting to know the team in advance is necessary.

Compilation of Teams vs. Team Building

Second focus besides the selection of personnel is the compilation of teams. Old-fashioned methods proved to be no longer up-to-date years ago; teamworking clings to factors other than the ability to classify themselves.

This collective concept completely contradicts the maximum individual ideas of employees of our time. So it is important to determine personal agendas value-free and independent and thus to create the basis for an efficient and effective team composition. Regular team coaching can ensure team integrity in the long term.
